It's been a while since I've emailed you about something that wasn't either a new course or a platform update, so I wanted to change that.

I've been fairly quiet the last few months, and it's not because nothing is happening -- it's the opposite, actually. I've been very heads-down building; now more than ever.

You probably already know that I built the new course platform from scratch earlier last year. But that created a bit of a spark in me with how I think about development, and about what one person can actually ship.

So I backed up and asked myself: if I was starting development completely fresh today, what would I build?

Not "what framework would I pick" or "what's the trendy thing I can build on top of", but more like... if the slate was wiped clean and I just built the one thing that I wish existed -- what would that look like?
